MY PRIORITIES

It’s time we implement proven strategies to ensure quality education for our students and accountability for our administration.

    • Every student deserves a high-quality education and support toward College & Career Readiness, including after-school programs and career technical education.

    • Teacher, staff, and faculty retention and recruitment must be prioritized with living wages and benefits.

    • Being there for our children on their good and bad days in the classroom; prioritizing support given to on-site counselors to help our children.

    • Creating a community where our students, parents, and educators are safe, successful, held accountable, and welcomed to be themselves.

    • Fostering environments where students, faculty, and staff can easily disclose and report suspicious activity, with students knowing who safe, designated staff are in school settings and during emergencies.

    • Creating safer, less congested routes for students to and from school by meeting transportation needs through working with our partners in the Solano Transportation Authority’s Safe Routes 2 School Program.

    • Recognizing that schools are the center of our community. Governance and policy decisions should be made after hearing from our educators, parents, students, and relevant stakeholders in our community.

    • Schools should meet and reflect the needs of their community, taking a diverse, student-focused approach instead of cookie-cutter schooling.

    • Supporting our schools in cultivating and communicating cultural competency

    • Supporting military-connected families by meeting the standards of Purple Star Schools.
